Of these, more than 6,000 facilities were newly constructed. As a result, the share of fuel stations equipped with modern sanitation and hygiene facilities increased from 20 percent to 98 percent nationwide.

It was noted that within the framework of implementing the President’s decision to further accelerate reforms in the tourism sector, 56 projects with a total value of $558.5 million have been implemented, creating 6,141 new jobs. A number of infrastructure facilities have also been developed in major cities and regions to ensure comfortable conditions for tourists.

In particular, three motels were opened in Bukhara region, one camping site and one camping recreation area in Namangan region, one camping recreation area in Navoi region, and motels and camping recreation areas in Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Tashkent, and Khorezm regions.

According to the report, deputies acknowledged that certain efforts had been made by the committee in this area, while also issuing recommendations to further develop tourism infrastructure, increase the number of tourist routes and tourism villages, and expand the availability of modern, lightweight sanitation and hygiene facilities in major cities, district centers, and along highways.

The session also noted that permanent parliamentary oversight would be maintained on the issue, and the response of the chairman of the Tourism Committee was accepted for information.
