Salaries of doctors will be increased from June 1

From 1 June of current year, the monthly salary of medical personnel in Uzbekistan will increase by a further 15 percent, depending on the qualification category. The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated this at a meeting with medical staff.

First of all, the Head of State noted that this year along with the budget organizations, it has been planned to increase the monthly salary of medical workers by at least 10%.

In addition, since 1 June of current year the following will be established:
- the monthly salary of medical personnel will be increased by a further 15% depending on the qualification category;
- doctors performing complex high-tech operations will receive a 25% surcharge.

In addition, 1.5 trillion som will be allocated to the Fund for the Promotion of Health Care Workers per year. From these funds:
- doctors and nurses who achieved outstanding results, work honestly and conscientiously, will also receive up to 100% monthly bonuses;
-a special monthly allowance of up to 1 million som will be introduced for new, young doctors.
