Khusanov becomes second youngest to debut vs. “Real Madrid”

Uzbek national team and "Manchester City" defender Abdukodir Khusanov has become the second youngest player to make his Champions League debut against "Real Madrid", according to "Opta".  

The source reports that Khusanov achieved this milestone at the age of 20 years and 356 days. The youngest player to debut against "Real Madrid" in the tournament was Schalke’s Kaan Ayhan, who set the record in 2014 at 19 years and 128 days.  

On the night of February 20, "Real Madrid" defeated "Manchester City" 3-1 at home in the second leg of the Champions League play-off round. Khusanov started the match and played the full 90 minutes. In the first leg, Madrid won 3-2, bringing the aggregate score to 6-3 and securing their place in the next round.  

It is worth noting that earlier, "Sofascore" rated Khusanov’s performance against "Real Madrid" at 6.8.
