Person who attempted to sell 3.5 hectares of land for 1.5 million dollars was apprehended

A person who attempted to sell 3.5 hectares of land in the Bostanlik district administration reserve, located in the Tashkent region, for 1.5 million dollars has been apprehended. This information was reported by the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to reports, following an appeal by a citizen identified as Z.J. to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a swift operation was conducted in cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. During the operation, a citizen named Yu.R. from the Bostanlik district in the Tashkent region attempted to sell 3.5 hectares of land situated in the "Yakkatut" neighborhood, which falls under the administrative reserve of the district government. The transaction was facilitated through his acquaintances working within the Bostanlik district administration. He demanded 1.5 million US dollars to transfer the ownership documents to Z.J., of which he was caught in possession of 50,000 US dollars as physical evidence.

It has been reported that the Yukorichirchik district prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case regarding this incident under Article 168, Part 4, Clause "a" and Article 28,211, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code. Preliminary investigations are currently underway.

In a separate case in the Fergana region, the head of Metan LLC, identified as A.V., was arrested with physical evidence while attempting to illegally sell 1.3 hectares of land designated for a greenhouse to a citizen named I.P. for 410,000 US dollars. A.V. was caught in possession of 35,000 US dollars, which was part of the agreed sum.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the Dangara district police department under Article 25,168, Part 4, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and preliminary investigations are ongoing.
