QALAMPIR.UZ has received an appeal reporting recurring power supply problems at the Hemodialysis Department of the Traumatology Hospital located on Margilan Street in Namangan city. According to the appeal, the outages are causing serious difficulties in providing medical care to patients. The applicant told the editorial team that when patients with chronic kidney failure are connected to dialysis machines (artificial kidneys), electricity supply at the hospital is repeatedly cut off, prompting patients to express concern each time the situation recurs.

According to the applicant, patients are required to receive injections costing around 400,000 soums and undergo blood purification procedures using special equipment every week. Frequent power outages are negatively affecting their health. The hospital’s Hemodialysis Department has a total of seven machines, but they are unable to function without electricity.

In response to the situation, the Namangan branch of Regional Electric Networks JSC stated that the appeal had been reviewed in accordance with established procedures. According to the company, power outages occurred several times for short periods due to a technical malfunction in the automatic backup power switching (ABR) device of the transformer located on the hospital premises. It was also noted that the hospital administration did not submit a formal request to the energy service in a timely manner.

Officials confirmed that disruptions in the power supply caused difficulties in providing patients with proper medical care as required. They also stated that a hospital doctor dissatisfied with the recurring outages had submitted a video appeal without fully clarifying the situation or coordinating with the hospital administration.

For reference, the area is supplied with electricity through the Shodlik and Margilan power lines connected to the 110/6 kV Nestle and Toshbuloq substations. No disruptions in the overall power supply across Namangan city have been recorded in recent days.

“The necessary measures are being taken in cooperation with relevant services to eliminate the identified technical shortcomings,” the statement said.

It is worth noting that earlier, a partial power outage was also reported at Tashkent Airport.
