Consuming ice cream sold under the name "Andijan Ice Cream" has been declared extremely dangerous for health. This warning was issued by the Tashkent City Sanitary and Epidemiological Department.

It was noted that there is no information about the production process of "Andijan ice cream," including where, when, and from which ingredients it was made. Even the packaging does not provide essential details, such as storage conditions or expiration dates. Due to this lack of information, consuming this product poses a serious risk to health.

Additionally, the product does not have the necessary permit for street sales. The only permit available pertains to the manufacturing enterprise, not for street vending. All food products sold for consumption must be properly packaged and labeled with details such as the production location, date, composition, and shelf life.

The report further explained, "The ice cream is made from milk and dairy products, which are highly susceptible to changes in quality. Ice creams must be stored at sub-zero temperatures, but improper storage can lead to melting and degradation in quality. The containers used for storage are not freezers and cannot properly preserve the product."

Furthermore, it is required that all food vendors undergo medical exams every six months and wear special clothing. If a seller has an infectious disease, they could potentially transmit it to customers during the sale of food products.

When tested in laboratory conditions earlier in the season, staphylococcus bacteria were found in the ice cream. This bacteria, when ingested, can cause gastrointestinal disorders, throat inflammation, and even food poisoning.

It is also worth mentioning that in 2024, six types of ice cream sold in Uzbekistan were found to contain E. coli bacteria, further highlighting concerns about food safety in the country.
