Another 10 Uzbeks to return home from Costa Rica

1977Uzbeks who were to be deported to Costa Rica by the United States will be returned to Tashkent via New York. This was reported by Ahror Burkhanov, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
“Another 10 of our citizens who were scheduled to be sent to Costa Rica but intend to return to their homeland will arrive in Uzbekistan this week via the New York-Tashkent route,” Burkhanov wrote.
Earlier, it was reported that the United States was deporting Uzbek immigrants who were in the country without permission to Panama. Following this, the Embassy of Uzbekistan submitted a request to the US government regarding those deported to Panama.
Subsequently, as a result of negotiations with the US side, seven Uzbeks who were initially scheduled to be sent to Costa Rica but expressed a desire to return to Uzbekistan were repatriated via the New York-Tashkent route.
