Shavkat Mirziyoyev meets Russian delegation

On 3 December, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Russian Federation led by Denis Manturov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Government, who had come to participate in the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Presidential Press Service reported.
The meeting was also attended by leaders from Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod and Omsk regions, as well as Bashkortostan and Krasnoyarsk Krai. At the beginning of the discussion, the high-level guest conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Uzbek head of state.

The parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached during previous high-level meetings, based on the adopted “road map.” The delegation expressed satisfaction that trade volumes are steadily increasing and that joint projects are being carried out in industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry, and other sectors.

“The importance of maintaining the pace of trade, accelerating cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy, including industrial zones, and continuing active collaboration at regional and business levels was emphasized,” the statement said.
In this context, the outcomes of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting and related business events held today in Tashkent were highly appreciated.

Additionally, during the meeting, heads of leading Russian companies presented the President with detailed plans for implementing projects in information technology, energy, electrical engineering, machinery, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and the food industry.
