Ahmadaliev vs. Inoue fight to take place this year

Uzbek professional boxer and interim WBA titleholder Murodjon Ahmadaliev is set to face Japanese fighter Naoya Inoue in the undisputed championship of their weight class later this year. This was reported by Ahmadaliyev’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, in an interview with “BoxingScene.”

According to the source, an agreement has been reached between the two parties regarding the fight, which is expected to take place on September 14 in Japan. However, both fighters must first win their respective matches on May 4 to secure their showdown.

On May 4, a major boxing event will be held in Las Vegas, USA. Inoue must defeat American opponent Ramon Cardenas to advance to the September bout against his Uzbek rival. Similarly, the 30-year-old Ahmadaliyev needs to win his May 4 fight, although his opponent has not yet been announced.
