Top-performing school graduates will be admitted directly to the 2nd year of certain universities

Top-performing school graduates will be admitted directly to the 2nd year of certain universities. This was announced today, September 9, during a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the implementation of reforms in preschool and school education and the priority tasks ahead.

To support talented students, branches of specialized schools will be established in the regions: Al-Khwarizmi schools for information technology, Mirzo Ulugbek schools for engineering, and Ibn Sino schools for natural sciences. All of these schools will be directly affiliated with local technical universities, and high-achieving graduates will gain admission to the 2nd year of these universities.

Additionally, in 2026, two of the most prestigious international competitions, the Chemistry and Informatics competitions, will be held in Uzbekistan for the first time among Central Asian countries. The Prime Minister has been tasked with overseeing all organizational matters to ensure these competitions are conducted at the highest level in the capital, Tashkent.
