Uzbek nationals no longer eligible for Saudi e-visa

Saudi Arabia has suspended electronic visa access for Uzbekistan citizens, as the e.visa website currently does not offer a visa application option for Uzbek nationals.
So far, Saudi officials have not issued an official statement regarding the decision. However, some sources suggest that the move may be a temporary measure aimed at preventing unauthorized entry into the Haram area during the Hajj season.
Uzbekistan citizens were granted access to online tourist visas in August 2023, allowing for easier entry into the kingdom.
Earlier, Uzbek diplomats met with the Dubai Criminal Investigation Department following legal violations involving Uzbek citizens in the UAE. Authorities warned that an increase in unlawful activity could impact the visa-free agreement between Uzbekistan and the UAE.
