On April 6, 200 people evacuated from Iran, including citizens of Belarus, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, were flown from the Armenian capital to Moscow on a special flight. This was reported by TASS, citing Dmitry Danilov, press secretary of the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
“From the moment they passed through the Norduz–Agarak checkpoint, everything was organized at a very high level. I would once again like to thank the Armenian side for this effective assistance, which is not the first time they have provided during the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran,” Danilov said.
According to reports, this latest evacuation was carried out from the Bushehr nuclear power plant. Among those evacuated were 175 Russian citizens. The group also included citizens of other countries, in particular Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Belarus. In total, 200 people departed on the Yerevan–Moscow flight on April 6.
Earlier, on March 13, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that, against the backdrop of the war in the Middle East, the number of Uzbek citizens returned from the region since February 28 had reached 32,934.
