A female Uzbek athlete becomes the champion of Asia

The Asian Indoor Athletics Championship is currently being held in Astana, Kazakhstan. Ekaterina Voronina, a member of the Uzbekistan national team, won the gold medal in the competition.

Participating in the Beshkurash program, Voronina scored 4386 points and became the winner. Swapna Barnan from India and Yuki Yamasaki from Japan took the second and third places, respectively.

Zahriddin Shokirov, Valentina Kibalnikova, Lidiya Podsepkina, Jasmina Mansurova, Sharifa Davronova, and Farida Soliyeva from Uzbekistan will compete in today's program.

The Asian Indoor Championships will end tomorrow, 12 February.
