Formula 1 races could potentially be held in Uzbekistan, according to British journalist Joe Saward, as reported by Championat.
According to the source, a representative from Uzbekistan was recently spotted in the paddock area during the Singapore Grand Prix to discuss the possibility of hosting a Grand Prix in the country. (In Formula 1, the paddock is a restricted area that includes car garages, media and VIP zones, as well as technical areas for servicing and preparing the cars.)
Currently, Asian countries that host Formula 1 races include Bahrain, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Singapore, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
The Formula 1 Grand Prix was recently held in Baku, Azerbaijan, where Red Bull driver and reigning world champion Max Verstappen claimed victory.
