Minimum pensions and allowances increased in Uzbekistan

The minimum amount of pensions and allowances have been increased in Uzbekistan. On April 30, the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Making Changes to Some Documents of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted.
According to the decree, since May 1, 2024, the minimum consumption expenditure has been set at 648 thousand sums, and the amount of the following pensions has been increased:
- The minimum amount of old-age pension for incomplete work experience is 648 thousand soums per month.
- The minimum amount of pension for one disabled family member receiving a survivor's pension is 648,000 sums per month.
As a result, the pensions of 751,000 old-age citizens and 110,000 survivors' pensioners will be brought up to the amount of minimum consumption expenses.
An additional 180 billion soums will be allocated from the pension fund to increase pensions.
For information: pensioners of the above-mentioned amounts will receive the new pension amount from May of this year.
