The number of permanent residents in Uzbekistan has exceeded 37.5 million people. This was reported by the Statistics Agency.
As of January 1, 2025, the permanent population of the republic stood at 37 million 543 thousand 167 people.
As of today, January 20, at 17:14 Tashkent time, this figure has increased to 37 million 576 thousand 322 people. Of this total:
- Number of women: 18.6 million people
- Number of men: 18.9 million people
It should be noted that earlier reports indicated that the world population is expected to continue growing over the next 60 years, reaching 10.3 billion by the mid-2080s. According to the current forecast, by 2100, the population will be 6 percent — or 700 million people — less than previous projections.
