Number of people getting married after 50 was revealed in Uzbekistan

The Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan has reported the number of people aged 50 and older who got married in the first 10 months of 2024.
According to the data, a total of 215,000 marriages were registered at registry offices from January to October. Out of these, 5,314 people aged 50 and older entered into marriage. The distribution by gender is as follows:
- Men: 4,153
- Women: 1,161
Earlier, it was reported that in the third quarter of this year, 439 people over the age of 60 and 33 men over the age of 70 had children in Uzbekistan. Additionally, during the third quarter of 2024, 179,425 marriages were registered nationwide, with 149,814 of them involving couples under the age of 30. The Samarkand region recorded the highest number of marriages, with the average age of couples being 24.
