1000 soms coins are in circulation in Uzbekistan

Starting from 26 December this year, coins with a nominal value of 1,000 soms will be issued for circulation in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Central Bank.
The coin, of usual shape, with a nominal value of 1000 soms of MB consists of a combination of 2 different colors, the inner circle is made of yellow copper and brass, and the outer circle is made of silver nickel alloy.
The coin diameter – 26.27 mm, inner disk diameter – 17.6 mm, thickness – 1.6 mm, weight – 7.3 gr.
The front side of the coin depicts the building of the “Islamic Civilization Center” which is being built in Tashkent.
At the bottom of the image, the coin value number “1000” and the word “som” are written in Latin letters.
