Uzbekistan to finish the year in FIFA top 50

Following the December update of the FIFA rankings, Uzbekistan’s national football team will finish the year in 50th place. The team did not participate in international matches during the month.
According to the updated rankings, Uzbekistan retained its previous position. As a result, the team coached by Fabio Cannavaro ends 2025 ranked 50th in the world. The national side is also ranked fifth among Asian teams. Ahead of Uzbekistan are Australia (26th), South Korea (22nd), Iran (20th), and Japan (18th). Uzbekistan currently has 1,462.03 ranking points.
At the top of the rankings, Spain remain in first place, Argentina are second, and France, coached by Didier Deschamps, hold third place.
