Uzbekistan to play friendly matches against Kazakhstan in October

The youth and junior teams of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will hold a series of friendly matches in October. Negotiations are also underway for a match at the senior national team level, the Football Association of Uzbekistan (FA) reported.

According to the information, several friendly games between the youth teams of the two countries are scheduled for next month:

•  On October 12 and 14, the U-21 national teams of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will face each other in two matches in Tashkent.
•  From October 3 to 14, the U-15 national teams will play two friendly matches in Almaty.

Regular mutual matches are also being organized involving youth and women’s national teams of both countries.

It was reported that talks are ongoing regarding a potential friendly match between the senior national teams of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Since matches between the national teams during FIFA Days have already been scheduled, the possibility of organizing such a match in 2026 is currently being considered.

It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that the Uzbekistan national team, which is preparing for the FIFA World Cup, will play a friendly match against Uruguay in October this year.
