Uzbekistan completed renovation of Mazar-i-Sharif International airport

Uzbek specialists are completing the reconstruction of the airport in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan. This was announced today 17 May, by the director of the Information Analysis Center of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Doniyor Kurbanov in his speech at the II Central Asian Conference of the international discussion club «Valdai».
«Our specialists are completing the reconstruction of the Mazar-i-Sharif International airport », – he said.
Kurbanov says that Tashkent is working hard to rebuild Afghanistan as a historic bridge between Central and South Asia.
“Afghanistan receives more than 30 percent of its imports through the Uzbek transport and logistics hub in Termez. Uzbek electricity will be supplied to Kabul”,-he said.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbek specialists were reconstructing Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport at the request of the Afghan side.
