Uzbekistan among the cheapest countries for dining out in 2025

2495Uzbekistan has been recognized as the cheapest country in the CIS in terms of restaurant prices, according to the 2025 Restaurant Price Index compiled by the Numbeo portal.
In the global ranking of 139 countries, Uzbekistan secured 17th place, with restaurant and bar prices 79.2% lower than in New York, where the index benchmark is 100. Uzbekistan’s restaurant price index stands at 20.8, making it the most affordable among CIS countries.

Earlier, the Central Asian dish "Shakarob", commonly enjoyed in Uzbekistan, was ranked 42nd among the 100 worst-rated dishes in the world. It received 2.6 out of 5 stars. The Scandinavian dish "Blodplatter" was named the worst dish worldwide.
