A total of 93.9% of people living in rural areas of Uzbekistan use the Internet. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee, based on data from a household sample survey conducted between January and August of this year.
During the same period, the indicator among residents of urban areas stood at 94.3%.
The share of the rural population using the Internet by year:
- 2021 – 72.3%
- 2022 – 81.8%
- 2023 – 87.6%
- 2024 – 92.6%
- 2025 (January–August) – 93.9%
The share of the urban population using the Internet by year:
- 2021 – 79.4%
- 2022 – 86.1%
- 2023 – 90.4%
- 2024 – 94.0%
- 2025 (January–August) – 94.3%
It should be recalled that earlier, the National Statistics Committee reported that the share of women using the Internet in Uzbekistan during January–August of this year was 93.1%.
