Uzbek Ambassador presents credentials to Saudi Crown Prince

On September 30, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Nodirjon Turgunov presented his credentials to Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This was reported by Dunyo news agency.
On behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince accepted the credentials of 37 foreign ambassadors appointed for the 2023–2024 period.
During the meeting held after the ceremony at Al-Yamama Palace in Riyadh, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman conveyed the sincere wishes and warm greetings of the King and himself to the President of Uzbekistan.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia were established on February 20, 1992.
It is worth noting that Nodirjon Turgunov visited Riyadh in March 2024 as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. He was also accredited as Uzbekistan’s Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in November 2024. In April 2025, he simultaneously presented copies of his credentials to representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain as the first ambassador of Uzbekistan. He also presented his credentials to King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan on June 2.
