Fire breaks out at a school in Tashkent (video)

On October 13, a fire broke out in a building located on the premises of School No. 208 in Tashkent. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the ministry, at 17:23, the Tashkent City Department of Emergency Situations received a call through the 112 emergency system reporting a fire on the roof of an unused building under renovation at School No. 208, located on Doniyor Street in the Shukur Burkhanov mahalla of the Mirzo Ulugbek district.

Based on the report, firefighting and rescue crews arrived at the scene at 17:28. The fire was contained by 17:39 and completely extinguished by 17:42.

“At the time of the fire, there were no school staff or students present. The incident is believed to have been caused by non-compliance with fire safety regulations during renovation work. The amount of damage is being determined. No injuries were reported,” the ministry stated.

It is worth noting that earlier, a newly constructed clinic in the Jondor district of Bukhara region caught fire. No injuries were reported in that incident either.
