Hydrogen peroxide leak reported in Tashkent

A hydrogen peroxide leak occurred on July 21, from a warehouse located in the Almazar district of Tashkent. The incident was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the report, the capital’s Emergency Management Agency received a call about a strong chemical odor in the air on Uzumbag Street in the district.
In response, teams from the Radiation, Chemical, and Medical-Biological Protection divisions of the agency were dispatched to the site.
Preliminary findings revealed that hydrogen peroxide had leaked into the open air from a container stored in the warehouse.
The situation was fully brought under control by the emergency response teams at around 04:00.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
It should be noted that earlier, on the morning of July 19, a layer of dusty smog was reported over the city of Navoi in the Navoi region. Air quality analysis revealed ammonia levels were 1.4 times above the norm, while hydrogen sulfide was detected at 16.8 times the permissible limit.
