Mother in Tashkent throws children and herself from apartment window (video)

Reports circulated on social networks that a woman in the Almazar district of Tashkent threw her two children and herself from the 8th floor. QALAMPIR.UZ contacted the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, to clarify the situation.

According to officials, the tragic incident occurred on September 17 at 14:18. A woman born in 2001, a resident of Almazar district, reportedly became angry during a dispute with her husband over jealousy. She first threw her two sons, born in 2022 and 2024, out of the 4th-floor window of their apartment, and then threw herself from the 8th floor of the same building.

As a result, the woman died in hospital, while both children survived.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 25.97 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder), and investigations are ongoing.

Videos showing the woman’s fall and her lying face down on the ground quickly spread across social networks, where users strongly condemned her actions.

It is worth noting that a similar tragedy occurred in Tashkent in 2023, when a 27-year-old mother jumped with her three children from the 9th floor of an apartment building. In that case, the woman and all three children died.
