A 44-year-old doctor in Tashkent has been sentenced to five days in administrative detention for groping a female patient under the pretext of a medical examination. QALAMPIR.UZ reviewed the court document.
According to the document, on July 17 at around 7:00 p.m., the doctor entered the room of a female patient who was being treated at her workplace—the Tashkent regional branch of RSHTYOIM in the Sergeli district. He then groped her under the guise of conducting an examination. The patient testified that the doctor first closed the windows and doors before touching her body multiple times.
In court, the doctor admitted his guilt, expressed sincere remorse for his actions, and apologized to the patient and her family.
The court also noted that the doctor was intoxicated during the incident, which was considered an aggravating circumstance.
As a result, the court found the doctor guilty under Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (sexual misconduct) and sentenced him to five days of administrative detention. He was also ordered to cover the costs of serving his detention.
It was previously reported that another individual who committed sexual acts against a female passenger while intoxicated on a Moscow–Tashkent flight was sentenced to three days in prison.
