From August 2 to August 25, traffic will be temporarily restricted on Shota Rustaveli Street in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent, from the intersection near the Grand Mir Hotel to Babur Street, due to road repair works. This was reported by the Main Department of Transport of the capital.
As a result of the road closure, the following changes have been made to several bus routes:
Routes No. 18, 38, 58, and 67
Will operate via Shakhrisabz Street – Mirabad – Nukus – Babur – Shota Rustaveli Street.
Routes No. 57, 81, and 98
Will operate via Mirabad – Yusuf Khos Khajib – Babur Street.
Route No. 127
Will operate via Nukus – Mukimiy Street.
The department noted that during the repair period, traffic congestion may increase on surrounding streets, and further changes to bus routes may be introduced as needed.
“Bus travel time and intervals may be longer than scheduled,” the report stated.
It should be noted that earlier, due to the replacement of hot water pipes in the Sergeli district and roadworks on Sogdiana Street, some bus routes were changed from July 19 to August 18.
