Alisherbek Qodirov, the son of the former chief prosecutor of Uzbekistan Rashidjon Qodirov, owns real estate worth 7.9 million dollars in Dubai. This was reported by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).

Alisherbek Qodirov, wanted by the Uzbek government on charges of extortion and fraud, has four Marina Plaza offices in Dubai. The property, which ranges from $1.9 million to $2 million, has an estimated total value of $7.9 million.

Rashid Qodirov was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined 500 times the minimum monthly salary as per Article 50, Part 6 of the Criminal Code.

Additionally, the court decided to file a motion to strip Rashid Qodirov of his special titles and state awards due to his conviction for serious and extremely serious crimes (Article 52 of the Criminal Code).

When Rashid Qodirov was accused and arrested, his son, entrepreneur Alisher Qodirov, was charged with fraud and declared wanted in 2018. Her husband, Nodir Toraqulov, who headed the National Security Service of the Surkhandarya region, was convicted of bribery in 2018 and sentenced to 16 years in prison.
