Syrdarya police arrest criminal group for multiple thefts

A criminal group responsible for multiple thefts in Oqoltin district, Syrdarya region, has been apprehended. This was reported by the regional Department of Internal Affairs.

According to the report, a resident of Oqoltin district, in collaboration with an accomplice, conspired to commit theft. On February 27, 2025, they secretly entered a store selling auto parts in the district and stole goods worth 51.16 million UZS. The stolen items were then sold at a significantly reduced price.

The group later devised another criminal plan. On March 13, 2025, using their vehicle, they broke into another auto parts store located in Mustaqillik neighborhood of Oqoltin district. This time, they stole goods valued at 43.09 million UZS, which they again sold to an acquaintance for a nominal amount.

During the pre-investigation process, the individuals involved in these crimes were detained.

Previously, in Karshi district, Kashkadarya region, members of another criminal group involved in robbery were also apprehended.
