Uzbekistan national team and AS Roma striker Eldor Shomurodov could join a new club this summer. According to Footmercato, French Ligue 1 side Rennes has shown interest in the 29-year-old forward.
The report states that Rennes’ sporting director, Florian Maurice, has submitted an official inquiry to Roma regarding Shomurodov’s availability.
Last season, Shomurodov appeared in 37 matches across all competitions, scoring 7 goals and providing 5 assists. His current market value is estimated at 5 million euros by Transfermarkt.
Previously, Turkish club İstanbul Başakşehir was also reported to be negotiating a deal for the striker, with suggestions that Shomurodov had already traveled to Istanbul.
