A video showing the mass beating of teachers in Surkhandarya region was circulated on social networks. Hayat Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the Prosecutor General’s Office, gave information about this situation.
It was found that on 14 April 2023, at 12:00 p.m., a 34-year-old male (teacher) argued with two female teachers and injured them during a meeting held in the director’s room of school No. 31 in Uzun district.
On 18 April, a criminal case under Article 277 of the Criminal Code (bullying) was initiated in connection with this situation. The suspect was detained in procedural order.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the investigation is ongoing.
