Ramazon Temirov has been suspended from the UFC for one year by the Combat Sports Anti-Doping Agency (CSAD) for violating anti-doping rules. This was reported on the UFC’s official website.
According to the report, Temirov tested positive for trimetazidine (TMZ), a drug used to treat heart failure and other heart conditions. Trimetazidine is classified as a hormonal and metabolic modulator and is included on the UFC’s list of prohibited substances. It is banned at all times under UFC anti-doping regulations. A sample containing the banned substance was taken from Temirov on June 12 of this year in Phuket, Thailand, followed by a second sample taken in Phuket on July 4.
Temirov gave a detailed interview to CSAD and admitted to using trimetazidine. Although he did not check the prohibited status of the drug before taking it and failed to inform his doctor that he was an athlete subject to doping control, he provided documents showing that the medication was prescribed by a doctor for medical reasons and was taken for a limited period. As the use of the substance did not significantly enhance his performance, the punishment was mitigated. According to anti-doping rules, the fighter will be eligible to return to the octagon after July 5, 2026.
For reference, Ramazon Temirov has competed in two UFC fights, winning both.
