Man detained in Namangan for organizing an illegal gambling house at home (video)

A 53-year-old man has been detained in the Uchqurgan district of Namangan region for organizing an illegal gambling house in his home. The regional Department of Internal Affairs reported the incident.

According to the report, during preventive operations carried out by officers of the Uchqurgan District Department of Internal Affairs, it was established that a resident of the Qorgoncha neighborhood, born in 1973, had organized illegal billiards games at his residence for material gain, involving 15 acquaintances. During nighttime hours, he also created conditions for gambling games in the form of risk-based lotteries.

It was reported that a criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident by the investigation unit under the Uchqurgan District Department of Internal Affairs under Part 1 of Article 278 of the Criminal Code (Organizing and conducting gambling and other games based on risk). Preliminary investigative actions are currently underway.

It is worth noting that earlier, during special operations conducted in Khorezm and Andijan regions, individuals involved in drug trafficking and the organization of illegal gambling activities were also detained.
