On August 4, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit at the invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedow. The visit was announced by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
Upon arrival at the airport in Turkmenbashi, the Uzbek leader was received by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People's Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
On August 5, President Mirziyoyev is expected to participate in a special event dedicated to preparations for the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, held within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. He is also scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings.
