Mirziyoyev congratulates Nursultan Nazarbayev on his 85th birthday

On July 6, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with the First President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, the head of state sincerely congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on his 85th birthday, wishing him good health, happiness, and continued success.

The two sides also discussed the current level of friendship, good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. It was noted that multifaceted cooperation between the two countries is rapidly developing across all areas.

For reference, Nursultan Nazarbayev was born on July 6, 1940, in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. He served as the President of Kazakhstan from 1991 until 2019.

It is worth recalling that the First President of Kazakhstan had previously visited Bukhara, Uzbekistan. During his visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city as well, reviewing the region’s socio-economic development and the implementation of tasks outlined during previous visits. An informal meeting was also held with Nursultan Nazarbayev, who arrived in Bukhara to visit its historical and architectural landmarks.
