Mirziyoyev to participate in international forum today

Today, on September 17, the III International Forum on Poverty Reduction “From Poverty to Prosperity” will begin its work in the city of Namangan. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in its opening ceremony and deliver a speech. This was reported by the Presidential Spokesperson Sherzod Asadov.

Within the framework of the forum, the head of state will hold bilateral meetings with the President of the Islamic Development Bank Muhammad al-Jassir, Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Inmin Yang, and Global Director of the World Bank Luis Felipe Lopez-Calva.

It is worth noting that yesterday, on September 16, during his visit to the Namangan region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Shurarik neighborhood in the Naryn district. The conditions in this neighborhood are difficult. Internal roads need repair, there are no street lights and "trays". More than 5 thousand people live here. There are 62 poor families, 118 unemployed people, and 157 people are in migration.
