Driver hits three students in Margilan

A driver in the city of Margilan, Fergana region, struck three schoolchildren who were crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing, the regional Traffic Safety Department’s press service reported.

According to the information, on October 16 at around 12:30 p.m., a driver born in 1998, operating a Nexia-1 vehicle on B. Margiloni Street, hit three students who were crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing in front of school no. 33.

Preliminary reports indicate that as a result of the traffic accident, one student was taken to a hospital for treatment, while two others received first medical aid.

Currently, the Margilan City Police Department’s Investigation Division has launched a pre-investigation inquiry into the incident.

It is worth noting that earlier, in the Andijan region, the driver of a Nexia-3 vehicle struck two schoolchildren who were crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
