Parents of a student who brought a toy knife to school were penalized

A video titled "Is it acceptable to boast about a knife in Mirzo Ulugbek District's 187th School?" surfaced on the social media platform. The Preschool and School Education Department of Tashkent City responded to this incident.

The incident occurred on May 6th of this year. I.J., an 11th-grade student at School 187 in Mirzo Ulugbek District, Tashkent city, brought a toy knife to school to show off to friends. During a break, he boasted about it and filmed the act on his phone.

Upon learning of the situation, students informed the school principal. Preventive measures were taken, involving the student, his parents, the local inspector, school administration, and National Guard personnel. Under Article 47 of the Administrative Responsibility Code, the parents of the minor student were fined.

"Additionally, student J.I. expressed dissatisfaction with the disciplinary actions to the school authorities and the National Guard officer, and shared the video on social media," the statement said.

It's worth mentioning that earlier, there were reports of two students assaulting a 23-year-old in Surkhandarya.
