In the Surkhandarya region, a criminal case has been initiated against a woman who insulted a traffic police officer while he was performing his official duties. This was reported by the regional Traffic Safety Department.

According to the report, the woman was stopped by officers for installing unauthorized tinting on the side windows of her car. Despite being previously warned, she committed the same violation again and left the scene without complying with the legal request of the internal affairs officer.

The woman committed two administrative offenses. Following this, she called the officer who had issued her a report on his phone and insulted him. When summoned to the Internal Affairs Office, she continued her inappropriate behavior by insulting officers, creating a disturbance, and attempting to avoid responsibility.

The case materials from the Denov District Department of Internal Affairs were submitted to the court. According to the court decision on July 14, the woman was found guilty under Article 183 (petty hooliganism) and Article 194 (failure to comply with the lawful orders of internal affairs officers) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. She was sentenced to four days of administrative detention.

As it turned out, the woman had previously committed similar offenses multiple times and showed no signs of reform. Therefore, she was additionally fined 20 times the base calculated amount — 6 million 800 thousand soums.

Due to the repeated offense committed within a year of her previous punishment, the Denov District Police Department launched a criminal case under Article 140 (insult) of the Criminal Code. An investigation is currently underway.

It is worth recalling that earlier in Tashkent, another woman was fined after insulting and attempting to blackmail a traffic police officer. She was charged under Articles 41 (insult) and 194 (failure to obey an internal affairs officer) of the Administrative Code and was fined 30 times the base amount.
