Futsal: Central Asian teams will vie for World Cup berth

The Asian Futsal Cup, hosted by Thailand, nears its conclusion. Today, April 26, marked the qualifying matches for the Asian region of the World Cup, set to take place in Uzbekistan this year.
Vietnam, defeated by Uzbekistan in the Asian Cup quarter-finals, faced off against neighboring Kyrgyzstan, narrowly missing out with a 3:2 score. In the second qualifier, Afghan futsal players secured a 5:3 victory over Iraq.
On April 28, the Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan match will determine the fourth ticket holder from the Asian region for the World Cup. In total, 5 teams from Asia, including host Uzbekistan, will compete in the World Cup.
It was earlier reported today that Uzbekistani futsal players will challenge Iran for a spot in the continental championship final.
