Temur Kapadze, head coach of the Uzbekistan Olympic football team, shared his thoughts on their recent defeat against Spain at the Paris Olympics.
"I am satisfied with our performance. The players demonstrated tenacity and true team spirit. Our opponents are one of the strongest teams in the world, but we fought until the last minute. During the match, we felt the support of all Uzbeks. Thank you to everyone who believed in us!" said Kapadze.
In the Olympic football competition, Uzbekistan was placed in Group "S". After the first round, Kapadze's team was in 4th place with a goal difference of -1. In the second match of the group, Egypt and the Dominican Republic played to a draw.
The Uzbekistan Olympic team will play its next match against Egypt on July 27.
