Individuals who fraudulently sold another person's apartment for $20,800 using forged documents have been apprehended in Fergana, as reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation carried out by the Fergana City Department of the same office, citizen V.K., and accomplices conspired to sell the house to M.N. for $20,800, falsely claiming it belonged to citizen N.T. The scammers provided the victim with fake documents.

"A criminal case has been opened under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 228 (preparation, forgery, sale, or use of documents, stamps, seals, blanks) of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway," stated the report.

Previously, in Khorezm, authorities caught an individual attempting to illegally sell land for 1.2 billion soums.
