Flooding affects nearly 100 homes in Fergana region

Heavy rainfall flooded more than 90 households in Beshariq district of Fergana Region, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan reported.
According to the statement, on May 1 at 9:41 p.m., a report was received through the 112 emergency system about flooding in several streets of the “Vorux Dasht” and “Yangiqo‘rg‘on” neighborhoods in Beshariq district. Rainwater entered the household plots of more than 90 residential properties following heavy rainfall.
Emergency services, along with regional and district authorities, promptly arrived at the scene and are actively carrying out efforts to eliminate the aftermath of the incident, the report said.
All necessary personnel and equipment have been deployed, and the situation is fully under control. No injuries among residents have been reported.
“The consequences of this situation will be eliminated in a short time,” the statement said.
Earlier, similar flooding affected multiple households in Forish district of Jizzakh Region.
