Uzhydromet has released the weather forecast for Uzbekistan for June 20–22.
According to the forecast, today, June 20, daytime temperatures across most of the country will remain relatively comfortable at 34–37°C, with predominantly dry conditions. However, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in some parts of the foothill and mountainous areas of the Tashkent region and the Fergana Valley.
Over the weekend, temperatures are expected to rise again, reaching 38–40°C across most regions, and up to 42°C in the southern areas. Short-term rainfall may still occur in the mountainous and foothill regions of the country.
Wind speeds are expected to increase in several areas, reaching 13–18 m/s and causing dusty conditions. In the northern, southern, and desert regions, gusts may reach up to 20–22 m/s.
No precipitation is expected in Tashkent. The daytime temperature in the capital will be around 35°C today, rising to 37–40°C on Saturday and Sunday.
It is worth noting that earlier reports warned of possible mudslides and floods between June 20 and 22 in the foothill and mountainous areas of the Tashkent, Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana Valley regions.
