Bustonlik operation uncovers massive drug trafficking attempt (video)

In Bustonlik district of Tashkent region, authorities apprehended individuals attempting to sell 20 kilograms of potent substances valued at 8 billion UZS. This was reported by the Tashkent City Police Department.
According to the report, during an operation conducted by the Rapid Search Service of the Tashkent Police and other law enforcement agencies, two individuals—D., born in 1994, and F., born in 1999—were caught selling the substances. The seized drugs, valued at 8 billion UZS, were found to have the potential to poison up to 100,000 people.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 2511, Part 5 (Illegal production, distribution, advertisement, or display of potent substances not classified as narcotics or psychotropic drugs) and Article 246, Part 1 (Smuggling) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. The suspects have been detained as a preventive measure.
As a reminder, earlier, during the “Safe Zone” operation conducted by the Tashkent Regional Police and the State Security Service, an individual was caught storing psychotropic drugs worth 1 billion UZS.
