President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded a group of governors on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence. He signed the relevant decree regarding the awards.
By decree, Nargiza Ne’matova, the governor of Olot district in the Bukhara region, was awarded the “El-Yurt Hurmati” order. She began working as the district governor in 2022. Before that, she served as the deputy governor of Olot district, chairperson of the district women’s committee, and the head of the department for support of Mahallas and Families. Nargiza Ne’matova was born in 1964 and is professionally a physician-therapist. She graduated from the Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1991.
Saidqahhor Kholkhojaev, the governor of Chilonzor district in the capital, was awarded the “For Faithful Service” medal. He was also appointed governor in 2022. Before this appointment, he served as the first deputy Minister of Economic development and poverty reduction since December 2020, and from March 2019, he worked as the deputy chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan. Saidqahhor Kholkhojaev was born in 1981 in the Tashkent Region. He holds a higher education degree and graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute in 2006.
Several governors and deputy governors were also awarded the “Shuhrat” medal. Among them were Elmurod Avazov, the governor of Jarkurgan district in Surkhandarya region; Nigora Kutlimurodova, the deputy governor of Khorezm Region and the Head of the family and women’s affairs department; Alisher Qodirov, the first deputy governor of Kashkadarya region for Finance, Economy, and Poverty Reduction; Jalol Arashov, Deputy Governor of Bukhara Region for Construction, Barrier-Free Environment, Communications, Housing and Communal Services, Ecology, and Greening; Ahror Mansurov, Governor of Mingbulak District in Namangan Region; Alisher Rayimov, Governor of Angren City in Tashkent Region; Ruslan Roziyev, Governor of Konimekh District in Navoi Region; and Saidbahrom Saidmusaev, Governor of Sokh District in Fergana Region.
Elmurod Avazov, Governor of Jarkurgan District, assumed office as governor in 2023. Since 2022, he has been serving as Head of the Department for Development of Trade and Service Infrastructure at the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.
Ahror Mansurov, Governor of Mingbulak District, took office in August of last year. Alisher Rayimov, Governor of Angren City, and Ruslan Roziyev, Governor of Konimekh District, were appointed in 2022. Saidbahrom Saidmusaev, Governor of Sokh District, has been leading the district administration since 2020.
It is worth noting that earlier, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded a group of civil servants on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence. Among them were a minister, deputy ministers, and committee chairpersons.
