“Volga” car plunges into canal in Andijan; Driver’s condition unknown (video)

In the Andijan region, a “Volga” car veered off the road and plunged into a section of the Big Fergana Canal in the Altynkol district. As of now, the condition of the driver remains unknown. The incident was reported by the regional Emergency Situations Department.

According to official information, the accident occurred today, April 9, at 11:48 a.m., when the driver of the vehicle reportedly lost control, causing the car to fall into the canal.

Rescue teams from the Andijan Regional Emergency Situations Department were immediately dispatched to the scene. The vehicle was successfully pulled out of the water; however, no details regarding the driver’s condition were provided in the EMERCOM report.

It is worth noting that a similar traffic incident occurred recently in the Asaka district of the Andijan region, where a ZIL truck with faulty brakes crashed into a residential home. The driver was hospitalized with injuries, though no other individuals were harmed in that incident.
