An individual who organized a drug laboratory at his residence has been detained in Khojaobod District of Andijan Region. This was reported by the State Security Service.
According to the report, as part of efforts to combat the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, an оператив-search operation was conducted in Asaka District through joint cooperation between the Andijan Regional Department of the State Security Service, Customs authorities, and Internal Affairs bodies.
In particular, during the operation, one unlabelled spray container containing an unknown liquid and two unlabelled medicinal substances found in the possession of a person born in 1988 and residing in the district were temporarily seized.
The operation was subsequently continued, and during an inspection of the individual’s residence in Khojaobod District, it was established that a drug laboratory had been set up at the location.
During the inspection, unlabelled liquids in spray containers, white powder-like substances, potent medicinal drugs, as well as equipment used in the preparation of narcotics were seized as material evidence.
According to expert conclusions, the seized substances were identified as the synthetic narcotic drug “Alpha-PVP” and the potent substance “Tropicamide.”
A criminal case has been initiated against the owner of the drug laboratory under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code (illegal preparation, acquisition, storage, and other actions involving narcotic drugs, their analogues, or psychotropic substances with intent to sell, as well as their illegal distribution). A preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied. Investigative actions are currently underway.
It is worth noting that earlier reports stated that 20 kilograms of marijuana were found at the home of a 75-year-old resident in Jalakuduk District of Andijan Region.
